Welcome to Padrino! The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Padrino. Padrino operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping and craftsmanship experience (the “Services”). Padrino is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline your rights and responsibilities when using our Services. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use or access our Services.
SECTION 1 - ACCESS AND ACCOUNT
By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence and that you have provided accurate and complete account information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Padrino is not liable for any unauthorized access or use of your account resulting from your failure to maintain security.
SECTION 2 - OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Padrino offers handcrafted, restored, and custom-finished tools, including axes, knives, and sharpening or restoration services. Because many of our products are vintage or custom-altered, natural variations, surface marks, or patina may occur and are considered part of the product’s character—not defects.
We make every effort to display product images and descriptions accurately; however, variations in color or appearance may occur due to lighting, materials, or your device display. Padrino does not guarantee that the appearance, finish, or condition of any product will exactly match photos shown on our site.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products at any time without notice and to limit sales of any products or services to any person, region, or jurisdiction.
SECTION 3 - ORDERS
All orders placed through our store constitute an offer to purchase, subject to acceptance by Padrino. We may decline, cancel, or limit orders at our sole discretion for any reason, including suspected fraud, errors, or inventory issues. Your order is not accepted until payment has been processed and you receive an order confirmation email.
Please review your order carefully before submitting, as custom work and sharpening services cannot be cancelled once processing begins. Returns and exchanges are governed by our Refund Policy.
You represent that purchases are for personal use and not for resale or export. Any resale of Padrino products without written consent is prohibited.
SECTION 4 - PRICES AND BILLING
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Prices, promotions, and discounts are subject to change without notice. Posted prices do not include applicable taxes, shipping, or handling fees.
You agree to provide accurate billing and payment information for all purchases. By submitting payment, you represent that you are authorized to use the provided payment method and agree to pay all charges incurred, including taxes and fees. Padrino reserves the right to correct pricing errors and cancel orders affected by such errors.
SECTION 5 - SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
All shipping times provided are estimates and not guarantees. Once your order has been handed off to the carrier, title and risk of loss transfer to you. Padrino is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, customs, or events beyond our control.
We do not ship to P.O. Boxes. Any delivery address errors may result in additional costs to the customer.
SECTION 6 - WORKMANSHIP AND CONDITION DISCLAIMER
Because Padrino specializes in restored and refinished tools, many items show evidence of their prior life—such as surface wear, hammer marks, or discoloration. These are not considered defects. We guarantee that each item has been restored, sharpened, or refinished to a safe, usable, and aesthetic standard.
Custom work, sharpening, and restoration services are performed to the specifications agreed upon at the time of order. Variations in wood grain, metal tone, and finish are expected. Once work has begun, all service fees are final.
SECTION 7 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All text, product designs, photographs, graphics, logos, and other materials found on the Services are the exclusive property of Padrino or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, display, or create derivative works from any material without prior written consent from Padrino.
“Padrino,” our logo, product names, and design marks are trademarks of Padrino. Unauthorized use of these marks is strictly prohibited.
SECTION 8 - THIRD-PARTY TOOLS AND LINKS
Our Services may provide access to third-party tools or websites we do not control. These are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties. Padrino is not responsible for any issues, damages, or losses arising from the use of third-party tools, apps, or links. Please review their terms and privacy policies before using their services.
SECTION 9 - RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY
Our store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to operate our e-commerce platform. However, all sales, transactions, and product warranties are made directly with Padrino, not Shopify. By using our Services, you agree that Shopify is not liable for any product issues, transactions, or disputes arising between you and Padrino.
SECTION 10 - FEEDBACK AND USER CONTENT
If you submit any reviews, suggestions, photos, or other content (“Feedback”), you grant Padrino a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and distribute that content for marketing or promotional purposes. You agree that you own or control all rights to the Feedback you submit and that it does not infringe on the rights of any third party.
SECTION 11 - ERRORS AND OMISSIONS
From time to time, there may be typographical or factual errors in product descriptions, pricing, or availability. We reserve the right to correct such errors, update information, or cancel orders if inaccurate, without prior notice—even after you’ve submitted an order.

You may not use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purposes, including attempting to gain unauthorized access, transmitting malicious code, or interfering with site operations. Any misuse of the Services may result in termination of access and possible legal action.

Tool restoration and sharpening involve inherent material variability; Padrino does not guarantee that any restored or sharpened item will perform beyond its intended use or lifespan.
SECTION 15 - LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Padrino, its owners, employees, affiliates, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services or products, including but not limited to injury, loss, or property damage resulting from the use or misuse of restored or sharpened tools.
You acknowledge that tools, axes, and knives are inherently sharp and potentially dangerous. By purchasing from Padrino, you assume full responsibility for safe handling, storage, and use of such items.
SECTION 16 - INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Padrino, its affiliates, partners, officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the Services, misuse of any product, or violation of these Terms.

These Terms of Service and any transactions under them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. You consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in Oregon courts for all disputes arising from or relating to these Terms.
